I love business. And I also love travel, culture and wellness. For the last 10 years I have been running a small business, Derma Bright Clinic, which I love. It has been one of the hardest things I have done, with parenting the second! To start from nothing, toiling and clawing my way to where I am today, has been a fantastic though harrowing journey. And though I love it, the last 2 years of Covid and lockdowns have allowed me to step back and evaluate my life. In addition to what I do now, I envision other things: new ideas on where I want to be, what I want to do and how I want to feel.
In 2019 I had the wonderful experience of working with Martina, a renowned spiritual coach. She really helped me get clear on my goals, purpose and most importantly, helping me to connect to my divine feminine self, which somewhere along the way I had disconnected from. Since that time, I have blossomed as an entrepreneur, parent, politician and human being. I see so much opportunity in front of me in expanding my business in more ways to help, in particular, women connect to themselves and thus to a more meaningful life, and one with more joy.
What spoke loudly to me was creating life changing experiences in beautiful locations where women can commune together, and laugh, grow and share ideas. The Divine Feminine is a major theme as I firmly believe the world needs the feminine qualities to evolve to its next incarnation. Helping women connect to their inner feminine will help them. And helping women come from a place of Divine Leadership will help lead the world.
I have traveled a lot in my life, particularly pre-child. With my son now at university, I long for adventure and creating experiences. And I feel there is a pent up demand for travel but with unique curated experiences that offer soul inducing activities, rejuvenation and connection. So taking all of this into account, the concept of retreats came together for me.
The world is in a very unique yet delicate place. It is in dire need of healing, leadership and community. The work I do in wellness will serve me as I add this to my hospitality and spa management experience. I know I am here to serve and I look forward to creating a magical retreat business designed to leave women inspired, rejuvenated, joyful and ready for their next chapter!
